The vertical movement of the table ensures easy access for physically challenged patients, while the shape prevents patients from falling off. Suspension of the table from the side of the device allows for more efficient floor cleaning. Additionally, the placement of displays and controls has been optimized according to ergonomic requirements, ensuring a pleasant daily operation for hospital staff.

The ShellTec CT scanner was created after extensive research and analysis of various information sources. It has also been showcased at the Cieszyn Museum and Castle, and will be presented during the Budapest Design Week in 2014.

Recognizing its exceptional design and innovation, the ShellTec CT scanner was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Medical Devices and Medical Equipment category in 2015.
